My work centers on meaning, both as the axis of a new cultural and technological paradigm, and as the basis for a re-sacralized experience of the world.
It aims to be a bridge between theory and feeling, transcendence and immanence, technology and spirituality.
I cofounded the Meaning Alignment Institute, an AI research lab working to create new technologies and institutions aligned with meaning, an approach we call full stack alignment.
Previously, I researched theories of societal evolution, and played with internet memes as cultural vehicles.
Current explorations include cosmologies and ritual containers for collective transformation, and beauty as a spiritual practice.
